Health and Wellness Fair: Find out what you can do to improve your overall health, raise energy levels, and boost your quality of life. The fair will be held at the Cerritos Senior Center in Pat Nixon Park on Friday, October 2nd from 8:30am until 11:30am.
Kids Poster Contest: The City of Cerritos will be providing a Kids Poster Contest for ages 5 to 14. Kids will depict the theme “Believe what you can achieve through art”. The entry deadline is Wednesday October 21st at 5pm. The winners and selected posters will be displayed on October 31st at the Cerritos Halloween Festival at the Cerritos Regional Park. The winners will also be on view at city hall until November 30th. Each child should submit one poster no bigger than 17” by 11”. Cerritos on Two Wheels: Come to the city’s inaugural community bike ride on Saturday, October 3rd from 10am until 3pm. The ride starts at the Cerritos Sports Complex at 19900 Bloomfield Avenue. The registration fee includes a medal and a shirt. If you register for 30 miles there will be free meals included. A free clinic is provided for 15 mile and family groups. The courses were designed by Tony Cruz. There will be entertainment, family games, and food trucks.
