This upcoming weekend, the Cerritos community will come together for one of its annual events: The Patriot Day Concert in Heritage Park. This outdoor concert event is great for the whole family: Patrons of all ages can enjoy the live performances of patriotic Americana music, plus children will be entertained by an additional crafting activity. The event will also pay tribute to the brave men and women who lost their lives or are forever affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks. The program will feature a ceremony that honors those real-life heroes on the anniversary of the tragic event.

Honor patriots past and present at Cerritos’ annual Patriot Day Concert in Heritage Park. This family-friendly event centers around a concert of lively, patriotic music. In addition to the Americana tunes, children will be able to enjoy a themed craft activity. The evening would not be complete without a moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes of September 11. The concert event will begin with a brief ceremony that memorializes and honors those lost and affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Keep in mind that this outdoor concert is on the park lawn and outside in the evening, so make sure to dress accordingly. Pets are not allowed in the park during special events. Smoking is also prohibited at all public park facilities.
