Sometimes the most enjoyable event you plan is one that helps others. If you’re looking for a way to give back to the community – and the world at large – take some time to visit your local blood drive put on by the American Red Cross.
What Is The Event?
The event is a local blood drive where community members may donate blood. The “Give A Pint Get A Pint” campaign encourages you to donate a pint of blood (which can save three lives) and in exchange, receive a coupon for a free pint of frozen yogurt from Yogurtland. Keep in mind, in addition to helping others and receiving a free gift, you will even receive free juice and cookies after donating.
When Can I Donate?
This blood drive is taking place during the following dates and times:
- Friday, April 10, 2015: 10:30am to 4:30pm
- Sunday, May 3, 2015: 10:30am to 4:30pm

Who Is Eligible?
You will need to qualify as a donor – you can look over the full list of requirements here. However, in general, you will need to be 17 years old in most states, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, and you will need to be healthy.
